The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has put together a 2 day training on the 26th and 27th November 2018 for women-owned businesses in Nigerian to learn more on how to own a local business and still earn globally.
It was a deep and thought provoking session on very vital topics that can grow a business within a period of six months if given proper attention.
Among the many topics that were treated are; Traditional business model, benefit of E-commerce to businesses, traditional versus digital marketing, challenges of e-commerce, how to market your products on face book by creating ads and groups etc.
According to the trainer Macdonald Ehis, it is not good products that sells but consistent advertisements which makes consistency very necessary in every business whether small or large scale. He also said that if your product is not selling, it means that either your product lacks the required standard or quality or the right person has not come across your product just yet.
He is the founder of gadaafrica.com, an online platform that helps Nigerians export only Nigerian made product . They serve as a middle man between the local producer in Nigeria and the foreign consumer in other parts of the world.
